On Thursday, December 5, 2024, the City of New Haven’s Departments of Arts, Culture and Tourism and Parks, Recreation and Trees invite you to the spectacular annual Tree Lighting Ceremony presented by WTNH News 8! Join us from 5:00-7:30 pm on the lower green for an evening filled with joy and celebration.

The festivities kick off at 5:30 pm with a lineup of amazing music, captivating live performances, and the dazzling lighting of the tree that will illuminate the night sky! But that’s not all—prepare for some thrilling amusement rides, adding extra fun for everyone!

Please note, Temple Street will be closed between Elm and Chapel Streets to create the perfect atmosphere for this magical event. Plus, don't miss out on the Small Business Office’s Holiday Village featuring an array of fantastic local vendors. The Holiday Village will be open on the green through Saturday, December 7, with hours as follows: Thursday from 5pm-9pm, Friday from 14pm-8pm, and Saturday from 12pm-6pm.
