The State Street Corridor project is in support of a 2016 planning study of Wooster Square area that proposes to create development parcels along the east side of State Street while enhancing pedestrian and bicycle improvements. The concept moves vehicular traffic to west side of the existing planted median,
Opening up the east side for protected bike/ped infrastructure and development. An initial traffic analysis was conducted in 2020 by Toole Design to evaluate the traffic impact of proposed concept. A follow-up memo updated the analysis to account for revisions to the conceptual plan and to incorporate traffic projections for known future developments.These reports and their supporting data can be found below.
Traffic Model Outputs
An initial public meeting was held on September 13, 2022 where a presentation of the redevelopment goals and the concept design was shared and discussed. The concept design can be found below along with the presentation slides and a recording of the meeting. Toole Design reviewed the conceptual design and provided feedback which is posted below.
