Where can I obtain an Elevation Certificate for my home?
Elevation Certificates must be prepared and certified by a Licensed Land Surveyor, Registered Professional Engineer, or architect who is authorized by Commonwealth, State, or local law to certify elevation information. Elevations must be certified by a Registered Professional Engineer or Licensed Land Surveyor if the Elevation Certificate is intended to support an application for a Letter of Map Amendment or a Letter of Map Revision Based on Fill. The City does not provide Elevation Certificates.

Are the storm drain and sewer drain the same thing?
No. Storm water is conveyed directly to creeks, streams, without treatment. Sanitary sewer is collected and is treated at the Greater New Haven Water Pollution Control Authority at 345 East Shore Parkway and then discharged to the Long Island Sound.
Can I dump biodegradable products into the storm drain?
No. Biodegradable does not mean the product is non-toxic to aquatic life.
