The Bond Sale Committee is comprised of five members: the Mayor, City Controller, Board of Alders president, Board of Alders Majority Leader and Board of Alders Minority Leader. Committee membership is reserved for City of New Haven elected officials only.

The committee oversees the supervision and approval of issuances and sales of bonds, notes or other obligations of the city that the Board of Alders lawfully authorizes.

In addition, the committee has the power to approve interest rates, maturity schedules, and all other terms pertaining to the issuance and sale of city bonds, notes or other obligations, which are authorized by Conn, General Statutes Section 7-370 as amended from time to time.
