The Board of Library Directors is comprised of ten members.

Members are appointed by the Mayor and must be approved by the Board of Alders. Term of board membership is three years.
The board works to make and enforce rules and regulations for the management, protection and preservation of the City’s libraries.

* Filled an unexpired term of only 1 year; following that term, can serve three full terms.
**Aldermatic Rep - Term is for one year; maximum consecutive years to serve is nine.
